Iron and Steel Production Goes up

Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- The Kanggye Steel Works in the DPRK is making innovations in the production of iron and steel needed for regional construction.
Its officials, workers and technicians carried out their April plan at 150 percent and continue to make successes in May.
Workers of the melting shop manufactured and installed oscillating separator and established a rational melt casting process.
The rolling shop introduced various inventions for technical improvement of the speed reducer to shorten the rolling time.
The maintenance shop has improved the role of skilled workers to ensure the full operation of transformers, pumps and other equipment.
The factory has recently introduced more than 10 technical innovation proposals, further increasing the production. -0-
