Ninth National Children's Football Tournament Opens

Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- The Ninth National Children's Football Tournament opened with due ceremony at the Sariwon Youth Stadium on May 15 on the occasion of the 78th founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union.
The players who proved successful in city and county games and provincial preliminaries will participate in the tournament.
Present at the opening ceremony were Mun Chang Il, secretary of the North Hwanghae Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and schoolchildren.
Pae Chung Il, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.
Then, there took place a match between the men's football teams of North Hwanghae Province and Jagang Province. -0-
