Parliament`s future in hands of MPs - Yushchenko

KIEV, June 29 (Itar-Tass) - The possibility of early parliamentary
elections in Ukraine depends on the country's parliament, President Viktor
Yushchenko said in an interview with the Inter TV Channel on Sunday.
In reply to the question on possible dissolution of parliament through
the pro-presidential faction's withdrawal from the coalition, the
Ukrainian leader said, "there is the parliamentary coalition, its leader
is the country's prime minister, but there is no majority in the
parliament."
"Such a state of affairs seriously hampers resolution of very pressing
issues, first of all those pertaining to the budget and economic policy,"
Yushchenko said.
"The issue of early parliamentary elections will depend on how
parliamentarians will act. This issue is exclusively in the competence of
the parliament," he said.
