Progress Made in Production of Juche Iron

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK has turned a technical innovation movement into the work for its employees to boost the Juche iron production.
Its officials, technicians and workers introduced hundreds of valuable technical innovations this year to make a breakthrough in the modernization of production lines and revitalization of production.
The Blast Furnace Workshop No. 1 applied an innovation to give precedence to the heating up of the steel ladle, and thus increased the combustion efficiency. As a result, the actual extraction rate was raised.
The technicians and workers at the Blast Furnace Workshop No. 2 increased the productivity of Juche iron by solving the technical problem arising in supplying enough oxygen to the systems.
Similar successes have been made by fireproof material producing unit, hot-rolling shop, gas-producing shop, steel ingot shop and other units. -0-
