State Visit of His Majesty King of Bhutan to Mongolia Concludes
Ulaanbaatar, July 15, 2024 /MONTSAME/. A State Visit by King of Bhutan His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck to Mongolia at the invitation of President of Mongolia H.E. Khurelsukh Ukhnaa concluded on July 15, 2024.
Foreign Minister of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh and other officials saw off King of Bhutan His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and the Bhutanese delegation at the Chinggis Khaan International Airport of Mongolia.
During the State Visit, the two Heads of State issued a Joint Statement between Mongolia and the Kingdom of Bhutan and agreed to enrich bilateral relations and cooperation with economic content and to make real progress in priority areas such as agriculture, health, culture, education, and tourism.
Mongolia considers the Kingdom of Bhutan an important partner in South Asia under its policy of active participation in multilateral cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
This State Visit was of historical importance for assessing the current cooperation between the two countries, identifying prospects, deepening Mongolia-Bhutan relations and cooperation, and strengthening the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
