Preparations for Operation of Regional-Industry Factories Hastened

Pyongyang, July 22 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is pushing ahead with the work to thoroughly implement the Workers' Party of Korea's Regional Development 20×10 Policy.
Thanks to the devoted efforts of officials and workers in the province, raw material bases covering tens of thousands of hectares have been secured, the quotas for early crop production over-fulfilled and many technicians and skilled workers trained this year.
Officials and workers in Unryul and Kangryong counties waged a struggle for increasing the areas under cultivation in keeping with natural and topographical features of their regions, thus securing tens of more hectares of raw material bases than planned.
The city of Haeju and Sinwon and Pyoksong counties gave priority to solving the issue of necessary labor force and supplying farm machine parts and provided manure, slaked lime and nutrient solution which are necessary for improving the fertility of soil.
Agricultural workers in Anak and Chongdan counties cultivated wheat and barley in a scientific and technological way, thus increasing the per-hectare yield much more than last year.
Yonan County has planted many high-yielding saplings so as to open up a prospect for producing hundreds of tons of Evodia daniellii Benn fruits within three or four years.
Ongjin and Jangyon counties created a large area of paper crop.
Similar successes have been made in Samchon, Jaeryong and Pongchon counties.
Meanwhile, the province has promoted in a planned way the work to help technicians of foodstuff and daily necessities factories acquire advanced experience and many-sided and rich knowledge. -0-
