Many Schools and Kindergartens Built or Rebuilt in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Efforts are directed to improving the educational conditions and environment in different parts of the DPRK.
More than 530 schools, branch schools and kindergartens have been newly built or remodeled across the country this year. And the number of multi-functional classrooms is steadily increasing.
Officials and working people in Pyongyang and North Hamgyong and Jagang provinces pushed ahead with the construction and renovation of schools, branch schools and kindergartens.
Progress has been also made in the work to put education on a higher-level modern and IT basis.
Officials and working people in Rason Municipality made successes in building multi-functional classrooms of medium and high class.
Officials and supporting organizations in Nampho Municipality provided educational equipment and school furniture to many schools and kindergartens in the municipality.
Officials of the Ministry of Electric Power Industry and the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, too, preferentially provided educational equipment and materials to different universities and colleges. -0-
