Enlarged Plenary Meeting of UAWK Held

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- The Tenth Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) took place on Wednesday.
Present there were members and alternate members of the UAWK Central Committee and, as observers, union officials from Pyongyang and local areas.
The enlarged plenary meeting discussed the issue of thoroughly implementing the decisions of the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and other issues.
Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, made a report.
The reporter stressed that the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, at the Tenth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee, clearly indicated the most correct path for dynamically advancing toward the successful conclusion of the year 2024 and the scientific ways for bringing about uninterrupted innovations and successive leaps forward on the upward track in socialist construction.
The report noted that upon receiving an immortal grand programme guiding the entire Party and all the people to a great victory, the union officials and agricultural workers in the country are filled with high enthusiasm to put spurs to the struggle for securing a clear practical guarantee for carrying out the Five-Year Plan, true to the ideas and leadership of the General Secretary.
It analyzed and reviewed in detail the work of the union organizations in the first half of the year and referred to the measures for more briskly and vigorously conducting the union work.
