National Sci-tech Presentation in Fishing Sector Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation in the fishing sector took place at the Sci-Tech Complex here on July 23 and 24.
The presentation brought together officials, scientists and technicians from more than 10 units, including the East Sea Offshore Farming Institute of the Academy of Fishery Science, Wonsan University of Fisheries, Nampho University of Fisheries, and Pupho and Ongjin offshore farms. Dozens of valuable papers were presented to it.
Highly appreciated were the method of increasing the productivity in gulf waters mussel farming and other proposals conducive to putting the offshore farming on an industrial and intensive basis.
During the presentation, there was a technical lecture on the worldwide trend of aquaculture development and the ways for developing aquaculture in the DPRK. -0-
