Steps Taken to Cope with Natural Disasters

Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- The railway transport sector of the DPRK concentrates efforts on the work to cope with disastrous abnormal weather.
Officials of the Ministry of Railways have striven to ensure that all units make full preparations to cope with any crisis while finding gaps and shortcomings.
The Pyongyang Railway Bureau has carried on the repair of structures such as rail roadbeds, bridges and tunnels, the replacement of various kinds of insulators and the reinforcement of pylons to prevent any accident in advance.
The Hamhung Railway Bureau has taken proactive steps to ensure the safety of major freight cars and passenger trains in any circumstances. -0-
