TEHRAN, Sep. 25 (MNA) - Iranian weightlifter Alireza Abbaspour grabbed three medals, including two silver and one bronze, at the 2024 Junior World Weightlifting Championships held in Spain.
Abbaspour secured second place by lifting a total of 351 kg in the 89 kg weight category.
In the snatch competition, the Iranian athlete successfully lifted 156 kg on his second attempt, earning a bronze medal.
Additionally, he lifted 195 kg on his third attempt in the clean and jerk competitions, securing a silver medal.
The 2024 Junior World Weightlifting Championships is currently being held in León, Spain, from September 19 to 27.
