Kyrgyzstan, Venezuela cancel visas for holders of diplomatic passports
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met in New York with Yván Gil Pinto, the Foreign Minister of Venezuela.
The meeting, held in New York on the margins of the 79th session of UN General Assembly, discussed potential areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
In addition, the ministers stressed the importance of continuing close cooperation within international organizations, especially in the context of Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.
Kulubaev, noting the multi-vector and open foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan, said that Kyrgyzstan is interested in developing relations with Latin American countries.
Following the meeting, the sides signed the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
