Tua Chua is one of only two locations in Dien Bien with wetlands created by the Son La Hydropower Plant reservoir. The picturesque reservoir makes the district ideal for exploration tourism and positions it within the tourism development network of Dien Bien, Son La, and Lai Chau provinces.

Besides its reservoir, Tua Chua features a national heritage cave system, ancient Sin Chai tea groves, the Ta Si Lang ban flower forest, and the historic Ta Phin plateau. The area is rich in ethnic cultural traits, such as traditional markets, handicrafts, and a wide variety of local cuisine.

The district is committed to leveraging its natural assets and ethnic cultural heritage to develop tourism into a key economic sector. This includes creating distinctive tourism products, such as cultural experiences at local and night markets, traditional festivals, and eco-tourism focused on the Da River landscapes and caves.

With its existing potential, clear vision, and strategic solutions, the Party Committee, government, and people of Tua Chua district are striving to boost the value and reputation of local tourism, aiming to make Tua Chua a national tourist destination by 2030./.
