From Istanbul... Minister of Industry Stresses the Need to Benefit From Countries' Experiences in Establishing Industrial Cities
Baghdad / NINA / -Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal Al-Najm stressed the necessity of learning and benefiting from the experiences of countries and exchanging expertise in establishing, managing and developing industrial city projects.
A statement by the ministry stated: "The Minister of Industry and Minerals Khaled Battal Al-Najm visited the Gebze Industrial City in Istanbul, which is one of the largest specialized industrial cities, in various medium and light industries, as part of his current visit program to Turkey."
During a field tour, the minister was briefed on the city's infrastructure, services and industrial projects established therein. He also listened to a detailed presentation and explanation of the administrative and technical aspects of the city, the investment aspect and the nature of the relationship between the industrialist and the developer.
According to the statement, the Minister discussed a number of topics related to the nature and procedures of work in the city and the modern mechanisms and systems adopted in its management and development, stressing the need to review and benefit from the experiences of countries and exchange expertise in establishing, managing and developing industrial city projects due to their importance in developing the industrial sector and attracting investments.
In the context of the visit, the Minister discussed with a number of Turkish industrialists and businessmen the possibility of investing in the Iraqi industrial sector and opening branches of their factories in the industrial cities in Iraq. / End
