Al Kooheji said that the conference is part of the Olympic Academy’s efforts, under BOC, to enhance the skills of teachers and physical education trainers in Bahrain and the Middle East.

He added that the conference will feature four experts from Canada, one from the United Kingdom, and several lecturers from the University of Bahrain and the Bahrain Olympic Academy.

The secretary general underscored the committee’s commitment to ensuring the successful preparation and execution of the conference, which will provide valuable scientific insights.

Shaikha Dr. Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, a member of the BOC board and Chairperson of the Gender Equality in Sports Committee, highlighted that Bahrain’s hosting of the IPLC is a significant initiative in promoting awareness of the importance of physical fitness and health, and their role in improving quality of life.

Shaikha Dr. Hessa bint Khalid said that this conference represents an opportunity to bring together experts and decision-makers from around the world to discuss means to promote physical and health awareness, which aligns with the Kingdom’s vision to enhance public health and provide a supportive environment for sustainable development.

Shaikha Dr. Hessa bint Khalid noted that through this conference, BOC aims to exchange expertise and develop programmes and policies that support the achievement of health goals on both a local and global scale, particularly in encouraging younger generations to adopt healthy lifestyles and empowering individuals to lead active, sustainable lives.
