Kyrgyzstan sign contract to export potatoes to Uzbekistan's largest supermarket chain
The Trade Mission together with the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan signed a contract for the export of potatoes to the Olma supermarket chain - one of the largest retail chains in Uzbekistan.
In accordance with the terms of the agreement, the volume of deliveries will be about 80 tons of potatoes monthly, the press service of the Kyrgyz Economy Ministry said.
Regular deliveries of high quality products will ensure the constant presence of Kyrgyz potatoes on the shelves of supermarkets in Uzbekistan, responding to the growing demand for environmentally friendly products from Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyz Trade Representative in Uzbekistan Almaz Temirbekov noted that this initiative reflects the strategy of our representative office to expand export potential and promote domestic products to the Uzbek market.
“The contract with Olma supermarket chain is an important step to strengthen trade relations and support Kyrgyz producers,” he said.
The contract with Olma opens new opportunities for cooperation and promotes Kyrgyz potatoes as a quality and environmentally friendly product in the regional market.
In addition, the Trade Mission is negotiating with this chain to expand its product range. There are plans to export Kyrgyz drinking water, fish products, honey and dairy products, which will further strengthen the presence of Kyrgyz goods in the Uzbek market.
