Kyrgyz Interior Ministry celebrates 100th anniversary
Today, Nov. 1 Ala-Too Square in the Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek is hosting a large-scale celebration in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
The festive ceremony is attended by President Sadyr Zhaparov, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, employees and guests of the capital.
In his speech, President Zhaparov emphasized the importance of the militia and its contribution to the security and stability of Kyrgyzstan for all 100 years of existence.
“Police officers, without sparing their own safety, work day and night. I express my deep gratitude to all police officers for their labor. There are those who heroically died in the service, and their names will never be forgotten,” the Kyrgyz leader said.
Celebrations are organized in order to commemorate the anniversary, including a parade and demonstrations by officers of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry.
Police officers from all seven regions of the country came to the parade to take part in the celebrations and demonstrate their dedication to service.
Spectators also saw impressive vehicles at the anniversary parade of the Interior Ministry. New patrol cars, boats, rare police cars and a horse troop marched in a solemn formation.
In addition, an exhibition devoted to the history of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its achievements is organized.
A festive concert will be also held for residents and guests of the capital at 6 p.m. on the Ala-Too Square.
