Municipalities Minister participates in forum on food systems transformation

Amman, Nov. 1 (BNA): Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, participated in the regional forum on "Accelerating Food Systems Transformation in the Arab Region," under the patronage of Jafar Hassan, the Prime Minister of Jordan.

The forum is organised by Jordan’s Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with several international bodies, including ESCWA, UNIDO, and the World Bank and it brought together Arab ministers and global experts to discuss agriculture and food security.

During a ministerial panel, Minister Al Mubarak highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to enhance food security through a national strategy focused on secure food supply and sustainable practices. He also touched on initiatives to increase local agricultural output, support sustainable food policies, expand green areas, and address climate change, aligning with Bahrain’s 2035 goals.
