Riyadh, November 12, 2024, SPA -- In conjunction with the Kingdom’s hosting of the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification and as part of its comprehensive global efforts to safeguard the environment and combat desertification and drought, the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) is set to organize the second annual "Greening Arabia" International Exhibition and Forum for Afforestation Technologies.
The event will be held December 2 to 13, featuring participation from governmental, private, and non-profit entities from various countries, prominent local and international companies specializing in modern afforestation technologies, and experts from within and beyond the Kingdom.
The International Exhibition and Forum for Afforestation Technologies is a pivotal hub for exploring new environmental, economic, and knowledge-based opportunities. It brings together leading stakeholders from diverse sectors at both local and international levels, encompassing the environmental and renewable energy industries, sustainable enterprises, and non-profit organizations. The event facilitates the formation of strategic partnerships and connects service providers with key decision-makers.
Greening Arabia aims to leverage advanced technologies for afforestation in arid environments and rehabilitate degraded lands. It serves as a platform to promote participation in the Saudi Green Initiative and efforts to combat desertification while empowering local and international communities to adopt afforestation as a proactive and essential practice. Additionally, the event fosters innovation by supporting the development of new and sophisticated tools and methodologies in greening, providing specialized companies with the opportunity to showcase their products, projects, and innovations.
The event will underscore best practices in environmental economics, establishing a common ground for fostering a sustainable community and identifying investment opportunities in greening technologies and vegetation cover.
The exhibition and forum aim to engage various participants, including environmental companies and institutions, academics and experts, local and international communities, nature enthusiasts, governmental bodies, private-sector companies, non-profit organizations, and entrepreneurs.
