State Academy of Sciences in DPRK Strives to Solve Problems Arising in Reality
Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- Scientists and researchers of the State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK are working hard to solve problems arising in reality.
Researches for solving the power problem of the country is under way at research institutes.
The Automation Institute established a real-time data collection and recording system for scientific analysis of compressor condition and normal operation of air breakers and introduced it into the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex. As a result, it has raised the accuracy of the input and output pressure control 1.5 times and ensured the productivity improvement and stability of the power system.
Its researchers also developed a meter for measuring the flow of conductive liquid and introduced it into a hydro-electric power station, thus providing a guarantee for ensuring normal operation of generators and increasing the production of electricity.
With the enthusiasm to make a substantial contribution to improving the people's living standard, scientists of the Control Machine Institute developed a new system capable of monitoring ecological information including the weight ratio of poultry in real time, thus contributing to putting the raising and tending at the poultry production units on an IT and scientific basis.
The Manufactory No. 111 completed new-type level meters and installed them at different units in the field of chemical industry and thus made it possible to measure the level of liquid surface in real time. -0-
