Minister Of Electricity Discusses Cooperation In The Energy Field With A Russian Delegation

Baghdad / NINA /- Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadhil discussed today, Tuesday, with a high-level Russian delegation enhancing cooperation in the fields of energy and electricity.

A statement by the Ministry of Electricity stated that the Minister of Electricity received today, Tuesday, a high-level Russian delegation headed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, and discussed with him ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of energy and electricity.

The Minister received the Russian delegation upon its arrival at Baghdad International Airport, where the delegation included prominent figures, including Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivlev, and Pavel Sorokin, First Deputy Minister of Energy, in addition to Mikhail Bogdanov, Russia's Special Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister.

The delegation was also attended by Elbrus Kotrashev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, and Alexander Dyukov, General Manager of Gazprom Neft, which reflects the Russian interest in enhancing cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for joint cooperation in the field of energy, and the contribution of Russian companies to the development of the Iraqi oil and energy sector. / End
