PM Confirms Iraq's Desire to Establish a Mechanism Through Which Relations With the Russia Developed

Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed Iraq's desire to establish a mechanism through which the relationship with the Russian Federation is developed, in a way that brings mutual benefit and achieves common interests.
A statement from his media office said that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received, today, Tuesday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and his accompanying delegation, which included Energy Minister Sergei Tsevilev, Russian Special Presidential Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa Mikhail Bogdanov, and First Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin.
During the meeting, according to the statement, bilateral relations and ways to develop and strengthen them in all fields were discussed, especially in the field of energy, artificial intelligence applications and digital cooperation, and the importance of these historical relations was emphasized, with the advent of the eightieth anniversary of the launch of Iraqi-Russian relations.
The statement explained that Novak conveyed to Al-Sudani the greetings of Russian President Vladimir Putin, stressing his country's commitment to cooperation with Iraq in light of the outcomes of Al-Sudani's visit to Moscow in October of last year, and the understandings within the framework of the interests of the two friendly peoples./End
