Saudi CST Announces Space Sustainability Research Partnership Brazil's ANATEL at 'Connecting the World from the Skies Global Forum'
Riyadh, November 28, 2024, SPA -- The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) announced a research initiative on space sustainability in partnership with Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL).
As per a CST press release issued today, this partnership builds on a previous MoU between the two entities. It aims to ensure the sustainable and equitable use of orbital resources and leverage modern technologies for space data analysis.
In his opening speech at the Connecting the World from the Skies Global Forum, held from November 25 to 26, Governor of CST Dr. Mohammed Altamimi urged the global community to join forces in this endeavor and support research studies related to space sustainability for future generations.
"This stems from CST's commitment to strengthen international partnerships to achieve Sustainable Development Goals and leverage its expertise in the ICT field to drive sustainability initiatives and empower the space sector," the release read.
