Riyadh, December 03, 2024, SPA -- Under the patronage of Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan, the Regional Social Security Forum for Asia and the Pacific (RSSF Asia-Pacific) will commence tomorrow in Riyadh. The forum, hosted by the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) from December 3 to 5, will gather leaders of social security organizations from the Asia-Pacific region alongside social protection professionals and decision-makers worldwide.
By hosting the forum, GOSI aims to showcase its distinguished experience as a leading provider of social insurance services. It supports the enablement journey of different generations by offering innovative insurance products that advance social protection for individuals. In addition, it will exchange expertise with participating countries and benefit from the latest experiences in insurance protection.
Hosting the forum also marks a milestone in exhibiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's enablement journey under the Kingdom Vision 2030. It highlights the development of insurance tools through enhanced financial sustainability, inclusive digital transformation, and public-private cooperation.
Over three days, the forum will bring together over 70 leaders of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) member organizations, decision-makers, and social protection experts from over 30 countries. Through many public and private sessions, they will discuss regional insurance developments, innovations, sustainable insurance solutions, key opportunities, and challenges to learn from the pioneering Saudi experience in social insurance.
The forum will also include an accompanying exhibition showcasing GOSI's pioneering experience, strategic transformations, and new products and services. On the third and final day, officials and experts will hold a high-level session to discuss regional social security policies.
The topics of the first day's panel discussion tomorrow will focus on "Social Security in Asia and the Pacific: Progress, Priorities, and Challenges," and the sessions will begin with "Social Transformation in the Kingdom: Implications on the Social Security Ecosystem," to review the role of GOSI and its effective contribution to creating innovative strategies and products that empower generations at every step of life.
RSSF Asia-Pacific is an international gathering organized by the ISSA. It aims to enhance cooperation and expertise exchange between social security organizations in the Asia-Pacific region. The forum brings together leaders and experts from different countries to discuss vital issues such as digital transformation, expanding insurance coverage, and meeting societies' evolving needs.
It is also an essential platform for exchanging best practices and developing innovative strategies to enhance social protection and create inclusive and sustainable social security and social protection systems in the region.
