Saudi Minister of Industry, Australian Deputy Prime Minister Discuss Industrial, Mining Cooperation
Riyadh, December 18, 2024, SPA — Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef met here today with Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Richard Donald Marles to discuss strengthening bilateral economic relations and enhancing cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors.
During the meeting, Minister Alkhorayef underscored the strategic objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly the diversification of national income sources and the wide range of investment opportunities available to Australian companies. These opportunities include promising industrial sectors such as food industries and food security, which are priorities under the National Industrial Strategy for development and localization.
The discussion also delved into the excellent opportunities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s mining sector, encompassing all stages of the value chain, from exploration to mineral exploitation and processing.
The officials further examined Saudi Arabia’s competitive investment environment, which is bolstered by strategic advantages such as its geographic location connecting three continents, abundant natural resources, advanced infrastructure, and competitive energy prices. Minister Alkhorayef highlighted the Kingdom’s robust capabilities and extensive incentives designed to simplify the investment process across all sectors.
