HM King, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister exchange congratulations on Bahrain’s Gulf Cup victory
Manama, Jan. 5 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulationa from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the Bahrain National Football Team’s victory in the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup, marking the second time Bahrain has won the title.
In the cable, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended his congratulations to His Majesty the King, noting that the team's victory reflects the great attention His Majesty dedicates to the development of Bahraini sports, which has enabled Bahrain's teams to achieve prominent successes.
His Royal Highness highlighted that the team's achievement is a source of pride and a significant addition to Bahrain’s record of accomplishments. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the players for their high level of competitiveness and their well-deserved victory.
His Royal Highness also expressed appreciation for the efforts of His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, whose support contributed to this achievement.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed appreciation to the Bahraini fans for their support, noting their encouragement was a key motivator for the team’s success.
In response, His Majesty the King sent a cable of congratulations to His Royal Highness, expressing pride in the team’s achievement, which adds to Bahrain’s record of sporting successes. His Majesty commended the players for their outstanding performances during the tournament, which earned them the admiration of all and secured Bahrain’s second Gulf Cup title.
His Majesty also praised the efforts of the technical and administrative staff of the team, whose preparations contributed to this achievement. His Majesty expressed hope for continued success for the team in future competitions and for raising Bahrain’s flag high in international sporting events.
