Third ASEAN 'Khair Ummah' Conference Concludes in Thailand

Bangkok, January 26, 2025, SPA -- The third ASEAN "Khair Ummah" Conference, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, concluded today in Bangkok, Thailand, focusing on critical issues like confronting extremism and fanaticism through the example of the Prophet's companions and their righteous successors.
Sessions emphasized the importance of understanding the guidance of the companions as a means to avoid extremism. They underscored the need to adhere to the Prophet's Sunnah as the ultimate safeguard against extremism, highlighting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's crucial role in combating this threat.
The conference also explored the virtue of following the example of the Prophet and his companions in this regard, while providing clear definitions of extremism and fanaticism.
