The President of the Republic and the King of Jordan Discuss Efforts to Enhance Security and Stability in the Region

Baghdad / NINA / -President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid discussed with Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein the efforts made to contain tensions in the region and establish stability in it.

The two sides affirmed, in a phone call, their steadfast support for the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, based on United Nations resolutions and international law, as this constitutes a basis for achieving just and comprehensive peace in the region.

They also discussed the file of bilateral relations and the importance of joint coordination, which contributes to achieving the supreme interests between the two brotherly countries./ End
