HRH the Deputy King receives the Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today received His Excellency Éric Giraud-Telme, Ambassador of the French Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, HRH the Deputy King received two invitations extended to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa from His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, for the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit, scheduled to be held in Paris, and the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference hosted by France.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the strength of Bahrain-France relations, attributing it to the support of the leadership of both countries.
HRH the Deputy King emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination to achieve shared goals and aspirations.
His Royal Highness underscored the significance of AI conferences as a platform to showcase the latest advancements in the field, particularly in light of the growing global interest in such technologies. HRH the Deputy King also highlighted the importance of international conferences concerned with the conservation and sustainable use of marine resources.
His Royal Highness noted that these conferences act as platforms for experts to exchange their knowledge and experiences and face global challenges.
Regional and international developments, as well as issues of common interest, were also reviewed.
For his part, HE Giraud-Telme expressed his gratitude and appreciation to HRH the Deputy King, noting His Royal Highness’s commitment to strengthening Bahrain-France relations.
HE Giraud-Telme concluded by wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and development.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), also attended the meeting.
