Transportation Minister meets Saudi Communications Minister

Riyadh, Feb. 9 (BNA): Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, met with Abdullah bin Amer Al Swaha, Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing its strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia in communications, information technology, and digital infrastructure development, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and Saudi Vision 2030.

Both ministers discussed economic integration and the outcomes of the third meeting of the Coordination Committee on Investment, Environment, and Infrastructure under the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council. They focused on plans for a new submarine communications cable, cooperation in digital entrepreneurship, and training programmes in technology and artificial intelligence, supporting sustainable development goals in both countries.

On his part, Al Swaha emphasised the shared commitment to advancing technological innovation and the digital economy for mutual prosperity.
