Russian delivers humanitarian aid to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Zimbabwe.
MOSCOW, July 7 (Itar-Tass) -- The Russian Emergency Situations
Ministry supplies humanitarian aid to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Zimbabwe, a ministry source told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
"A total of 145 train cars with flour have been supplied to Tajikistan'
s Dushanbe, Khudzhand and Kurgan-Tyube within the framework of the World
Food Program," the ministry said. "Another two train cars are on their way
to Tajikistan."
In all, Tajikistan will receive 9,500 tonnes of flour.
"Almost 2,500 tonnes of humanitarian cargo are being delivered by sea
to Zimbabwe. The vessel departed on May 31 and might reach Zimbabwe on
July 9," the source said.
About 4,500 tonnes of wheat flour will be delivered to Kyrgyzstan by
railroad. "Ten train cars are on their way to Kyrgyzstan," he said.
