LMRA CEO meets IOM regional director

Manama, Feb. 23 (BNA): Nebras Talib, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Trafficking in Persons, received with Othman Belbeisi, Regional Director of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) for the Middle East and North Africa.

The meeting focused on LMRA’s efforts to ensure a safe work environment and combat human trafficking. The meeting also reviewed cooperation in training, labour affairs, and worker protection.

The CEO commended IOM’s support for the Regional Centre of Excellence and Capacity Building for Combatting Trafficking in Persons and its training programmes for frontline workers, highlighting the need for continued collaboration.
