Public Prosecution participates in GCC committee meeting

Riyadh, Feb. 23 (BNA): The Public Prosecution participated in the 47th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Public Prosecution Committee.
The Public Prosecution delegation was led by Attorney General Counsel Fahd Al Buainain, accompanied by Chief Prosecutor Mohammed Al Zubari.
The meeting discussed key agenda items, including the development of a guideline for handling elderly individuals during investigations, a cooperation policy between public prosecution authorities across GCC countries, and a model law on artificial intelligence in prosecution work. The committee adopted appropriate recommendations on these matters.
The delegation also took part in a workshop organised by the GCC Secretariat in cooperation with the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust), which focused on enhancing judicial cooperation in criminal matters.
The delegation held a bilateral meeting with Eurojust representatives to review ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in criminal investigations and judicial collaboration.
