Al-Sudani Receives Deputy Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia and stresses the government's interest in combating poverty and unemployment

Baghdad /NINA/ -Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Tuesday, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Rola Dashti.

A statement from his media office said that during the meeting, they discussed cooperation between Iraq and ESCWA and ways to enhance joint efforts to achieve the global goals of sustainable development, and support the financial and economic reform programs that the government is working to implement, especially in areas of economic and social priority.

Al-Sudani pointed out the government's interest in the areas of combating poverty and unemployment and improving the level of services, in order to achieve tangible results, by encouraging development investments, improving government administration and developing the performance measurement system at all levels.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the role of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in achieving development, and the importance of cooperation with international bodies and organizations to benefit from it in supporting national economic reform procedures in various activities and life sectors./End
