NKorea-behind computer attacks in US and SKorea-Japan media.

TOKYO, July 9 (Itar-Tass) - North Korea was the source of recent mass
cybernetic attacks on Internet sites in the US and South Korea, reported
on Thursday the Japanese mass media, referring to US official quarters.
According to the mass media, Internet addresses that attacked the US
and South Korea, were traced up to North Korea. At the same time, sources
stated that they have no confirmation of Pyongyang's complicity in the
attacks.
The computer attack in the US started on the American national holiday
- July 4 - and lasted several days. Dozens of government and private sites
were attacked. As many as 25 Internet portals in South Korea were attacked
on July 7. They were completely put out of action. They included the sites
of the president, the Defence Ministry and other government departments,
the parliament, the ruling party, leading banks and newspapers. Attacks
continued on July 8.
The Yonhap news agency reported that South Korean secret services also
believe that North Korea was behind the attacks. The attack was made by
simultaneous dispatch of a huge number of inquiries to Internet portals.
This attack overloaded sites which closed for access or began working
very slowly. According to an expert opinion, a network of private
computers, infected with a special virus, was used for the attack.

.Owner of Panamanian poaching ship to pay 79 mln rbls to Russia.

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, July 9 (Itar-Tass) - The owner of the
refrigerated transport Auris, flying the Panamanian flag, which was
detained in the Sea of Okhotsk for poaching, will pay over 79 million
roubles to the Russian budget (under a court ruling) for the inflicted
damage.
The court ruling entered into force, Itar-Tass learnt on Thursday at
the prosecutor's office of the Kamchatka Territory.
The Auris was detained by borderguards in Russian waters last
November. Borderguards found more than 94.9 tonnes of crabs aboard the
vessel. The captain did not submit documents, confirming legality of
fishing and transporting the cargo.
The ship with all equipment was arrested till the time of complete
redemption of the damage by the Fobos Overseas S.A. Company (Panama).
The prosecutor's office told Itar-Tass that a court in
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky also passed a sentence on the captain of the
Yuzhny refrigerated trawler of Sakhalin Island. The vessel was detained in
the Sea of Okhotsk for an illegal catch of 13.4 tonnes of crabs.
The court passed a two-year suspended sentence on the captain and
fined him for 150,000 roubles. The obligation to redeem the damage,
inflicted on Russian maritime resources to the tune of 9.7 million roubles
was slapped down of the ship owner - the Bereg Nadezhdy Company of
Sakhalin. The refrigerated ship with all equipment was arrested till the
full execution of the court ruling.
