Iraq And Turkey Discuss Mechanisms For Joint Cooperation And Increasing Trade Volume

Baghdad / NINA /- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Trade for Administrative Affairs, Sattar Al-Jaberi, discussed with his Turkish counterpart, Mustafa Tuzcu, in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Baghdad, Anıl Bora İnan, mechanisms for joint cooperation and overcoming obstacles to increasing trade exchange between the two countries, in a manner that serves the interests of the two neighboring peoples in light of the country's economic reform.

Al-Jaberi stressed: "One of the priorities and directions of the Iraqi government is to open up to neighboring countries through increased economic, commercial, political, and security cooperation." He pointed to the opening of the customs flow project for trucks entering Ibrahim Al-Khalil border crossing, in addition to receiving the second session of the Iraqi-Turkish Joint Committee, which will be held this year in Baghdad.

For his part, the Turkish Ambassador emphasized the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries, given that Turkey has other relations related to health, tourism, contracting, and construction. /End
