Baghdad /NINA/- President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the importance of strengthening relations between Iraq and Qatar, noting that "Iraq, with its rich cultural heritage, looks forward to various partnerships with its brothers and friends."

The Presidency's Media Office stated in a statement that "President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, at the Baghdad Palace, the Minister of Culture of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Thani, in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani."

During the meeting, according to the statement, the President stressed "the importance of strengthening relations between Iraq and Qatar," praising the cultural movement as a path leading to rapprochement between the two brotherly countries.
