Legal Affairs Minister chairs Bahrain’s delegation to Arab Labour Conference

Cairo, Apr. 19 (BNA): Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf, Minister of Legal Affairs and Acting Minister of Labour, chaired the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the 51st Arab Labour Conference, which opened today in the Arab Republic of Egypt.


 

The delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Labour, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions, and the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation.


 

The conference agenda covers key topics, including the development of entrepreneurship, the Arab entrepreneurship strategy initiative, and the report of the Director General of the Arab Labour Organisation. The report highlights the importance of economic diversification in Arab countries to adapt to global economic changes and reduce reliance on natural resources, aiming to achieve sustainable development and promote economic and social stability.

 

The Minister of Legal Affairs highlighted the importance of such conferences as inclusive platforms for discussing challenges and opportunities, exchanging expertise, and sharing best practices. He commended the Arab Labour Organisation’s role in promoting joint action and advancing development goals.

 

He also emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to economic diversification as a means to ensure sustainable growth and generate promising opportunities for citizens. He noted the Kingdom’s focus on enhancing the business environment through investment friendly legislation and initiatives that support ongoing economic development.

 

The 51st Arab Labour Conference will continue in the Arab Republic of Egypt until April 26.
