Baghdad, April 21 (BNA):  Bahrain's parliamentary delegation, led by MPs Mamdooh Al Saleh and Dr. Hisham Al Asheeri, participated in the fourth session of the first regular session of the fourth legislative term of the Arab Parliament, held at the Iraqi Council of Representatives in Iraq.

Al Saleh highlighted that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, current President of the Arab Summit, plays a leading role in strengthening international relations and building strategic partnerships that support regional and global stability.  He noted that His Majesty embodies the qualities of a wise and visionary leader who, through his experience, has made Bahrain a voice for Arab principles and national dignity.

He added that His Majesty’s visits to the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation reflect a balanced diplomatic approach focused on expanding cooperation and developing understanding with major powers, while respecting sovereignty and advancing shared interests.  He noted that His Majesty continues to play an active role in bridging Arab differences and promoting Islamic unity, as demonstrated through initiatives aimed at enhancing solidarity and supporting joint Arab action during Bahrain’s presidency of the current Arab Summit.

On his part, Dr.Al Ashiri highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s efforts under the leadership of His Majesty the King in promoting and upholding human rights at the local, regional, and international levels, adding that Bahrain is now recognised globally as a model of tolerance and coexistence among religions and cultures.
