HM King invited by Iraqi President to 34th Arab Summit

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the President of the current session of the Arab Summit, received a written message from His Excellency President Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq, inviting His Majesty to attend the 34th regular session of the Arab Summit and the 5th session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, scheduled to be held in Baghdad, Iraq.
The message was delivered to His Majesty the King by Fuad Mohammed Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, during an audience with His Majesty the King today at Gudaibiya Palace.
He also conveyed to His Majesty the greetings and appreciation of the Iraqi President, along with his sincere wishes for further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom and its people. In return, His Majesty conveyed his greetings and best wishes to HE President Rashid and the brotherly Iraqi people for continued development and growth.
His Majesty the King expressed his thanks and appreciation for this invitation, and conveyed his wishes for the success of the upcoming Arab Summit and Development Summit, hoping they would produce decisions that contribute to strengthening cooperation and joint Arab action in a manner that preserves the interests of the Arab nation and meets the aspirations of its peoples for development, prosperity, and peace.
His Majesty also praised the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and peoples across various domains.
