Tourism Minister receives Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, received Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Tourism Minister expressed appreciation for the development of bilateral tourism relations and the progress made in enhancing joint initiatives.

She highlighted the depth of the historical ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, noting the continued growth in various domains, particularly tourism, where cooperation between both countries is steadily increasing.

Minister Al Sairafi emphasised the commitment of the ministry and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to enhancing tourism cooperation through joint coordination and promotional initiatives. She added that these efforts support the goals of the bilateral tourism cooperation agreement, which aims to promote both kingdoms as a unified tourism destination regionally and internationally and to increase the sector’s contribution to economic development.

On his part, Ambassador Al Sudairi expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing tourism ties with Saudi Arabia and commended the ministry’s efforts in developing Bahrain’s tourism offering to attract regional visitors. He emphasised his commitment to continued cooperation to support shared tourism goals and aspirations.
