Housing Minister meets CMEC Chairman

Manama, Apr. 23 (BNA): Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, met with Wang Bo, Chairman of China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), on the sidelines of the of the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector.

The meeting focused on further developing cooperation following the recent memorandum of understanding to develop over 3,000 housing units in Khalifa City under the Government Land Development Rights Programme. The minister highlighted the programme’s role in advancing public-private partnerships to expand housing services for citizens.

Discussions also covered the progress of ongoing partnership projects, particularly CMEC’s role in executing phases of the Sitra housing development, and reviewed outcomes of the minister’s recent visit to the People’s Republic of China.

Wang Bo commended the summit’s role in creating new partnership opportunities with the government and supporting Bahrain’s housing initiatives.
