Information Minister congratulates Omar Farooq on winning ‘Golden Palm’ award at Saudi Film Festival 2025

Manama, Apr. 24 (BNA): Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, the Information Minister, congratulated Bahraini filmmaker Omar Farooq on winning the Golden Palm award for his documentary "The Dark Side of Japan" at the 11th Saudi Film Festival, held in Saudi Arabia from April 17 to 23, 2025.

The Minister praised this achievement as a testament to Bahrain's thriving creative scene in the Gulf, highlighting the talent of Bahraini youth in producing engaging media content that explores global issues through a modern artistic perspective.

In his statement, the Minister expressed pride in Omar Farooq's success, wishing him continued achievements. He emphasised the Ministry's commitment to supporting Bahraini content creators and fostering an environment that encourages their growth regionally and internationally.
