Alba becomes first Middle East smelter to adopt Seeq platform

Manama, Apr. 27 (BNA):  Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), the world's largest aluminium smelter on one site, enhanced its regional leadership in industrial innovation by becoming the first aluminium smelter in the Middle East to adopt Seeq, an advanced analytics platform powered by Artificial Intelligence.

This strategic partnership with Crucial Solutions and Services (CSS), based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to integrate the Seeq platform into Alba’s operations to revolutionise operational efficiency, quality control, and asset reliability through advanced AI and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.

The signing ceremony was held at Alba’s premises, attended by Ali Al Baqali, Alba's Chief Executive Officer; and Sulaiman Alzuhair, CSS Chief Executive Officer and Founder, in the presence of senior executives from both sides. 

Commenting on this partnership, Al Baqali said that since its establishment in 1971, Alba has been committed to expanding its operations and enhancing the quality of its products.  He noted that in light of current developments, Alba is striving to adopt smart operational applications.  He also added that as the first aluminium smelter in the Middle East to implement the advanced Seeq platform, Alba aims to develop its operations and set new standards for innovation and efficiency, establishing a model for the regional industrial sector.

On his part, Alzuhair expressed pride in the partnership with Alba in achieving this milestone, based on CSS’s belief in the importance of investing in advanced analytics and AI solutions to drive industrial excellence and operational resilience.  He highlighted that through Seeq, the two companies will work together to empower Alba's teams by providing deeper operational insights, accelerating decision-making, and enhancing operational efficiency, helping reshape the future not only of the aluminium industry but of the broader industrial sector across the region.
