Shura Chairman meets Saudi counterpart, UAE Speaker to enhance parliamentary cooperation

Rabat, Apr. 28 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, met with Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Shaikh, Chairman of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, in Rabat, Morocco.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the third edition of the South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum, organised by the Moroccan House of Councillors in cooperation with the Association of Senates, Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World.
The Chairman highlighted that Gulf parliamentary relations represent a fundamental pillar in supporting the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) process and consolidating the shared achievements and successes backed by the leaders of the GCC countries. He emphasised the importance of continuing to enhance coordination and consultation between the Gulf legislative councils to achieve common goals and enhance joint Gulf action at all levels.
