HM King receives Chairwoman, members of Bahrain Businesswomen Society

Manama, Apr. 28 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Al Safriya Palace Dr. Fatema Abduljabbar Al Kooheji, Chairwoman of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS), accompanied by members of the society.

During the meeting, His Majesty the King commended the key role of the BBS in supporting and developing the national economy through its programmes and activities to train and empower women entrepreneurs and enhance the role of Bahraini women in economic and commercial development. His Majesty highlighted the successes achieved by women in these vital sectors.

His Majesty the King commended the society’s participation in regional and international conferences and forums, which contributes to enhancing Bahrain’s standing and showcasing the achievements and success of Bahraini women. His Majesty noted that the valuable contributions of Bahraini women have advanced their role and reflected their competence across various domains.

His Majesty the King also expressed appreciation for the society’s efforts to further develop economic and trade cooperation with relevant institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain and other countries, reflecting the distinguished status of Bahraini women throughout Bahrain’s long history.

His Majesty the King expressed pride in the achievements of Bahraini women in national action, their active contributions to development and decision-making, and their efforts in political participation and in holding leading positions at local, regional, and international levels.

On their part, the Chairwoman and members of the BBS expressed their gratitude at meeting His Majesty the King, appreciating His Majesty’s directives on supporting Bahraini women and advancing the development process in the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
