Third edition South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum kicks off in Rabat

Rabat, Apr. 28 (BNA): Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, led a Council delegation in the opening of the third edition of the South-South Parliamentary Dialogue Forum, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The event is organised by the Moroccan House of Councillors in cooperation with the Association of Senates, Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World, held under the theme "Interregional and intercontinental dialogues in the countries of the South: an essential lever for meeting the new challenges of international cooperation and achieving peace, security, stability and shared development".
The forum discusses the role of parliamentary dialogue in promoting economic integration, sustainable development, green economy initiatives, and the use of modern technology and artificial intelligence. It also addresses enhancing relations among southern countries amid geopolitical and economic challenges, and enhancing social justice and international solidarity.
The delegation includes Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Second Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council; Juma Mohammed Al Kaabi, Ijlal Isa Bubshait, Hisham Hashem Al Qassab; and Kareema Mohamed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council.
