The Minister of Oil and the Lebanese Minister of Finance discuss relations between the two brotherly countries

Baghdad/NINA/ -Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad discussed relations between the two brotherly countries with Lebanese Finance Minister Yassin Jaber.

 

A statement from the Ministry of Oil stated that “Abdul-Ghani received a Lebanese delegation headed by Finance Minister Yassin Jaber on Tuesday, in the presence of Energy and Water Minister Joe Al-Sadi. They discussed relations between the two brotherly countries.

 

During the meeting, Abdul-Ghani emphasized the depth of relations between Iraq and Lebanon, noting that prospects for cooperation are open between the two countries. He wished Lebanon stability, development, and prosperity under the leadership of its steadfast people.

 

For his part, the visiting minister expressed the gratitude of the Lebanese government and people to Iraq for its cooperation and support for Lebanon in various fields over the past five years, stressing that these positions are greatly appreciated by the Lebanese people and government, as they stem from a brotherly stance in difficult circumstances.

 

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Extraction Affairs, Basem Muhammad Khudair, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Gas Affairs, Izzat Saber Ismail.

 

The Lebanese delegation included Lebanon's Ambassador to Iraq, Ali Adeeb Al-Habhab, the head of the Iraqi Businessmen Forum, advisor to the Minister of Finance, advisor to the Minister of Energy and Water, and the economic attaché at the Lebanese mission. /End
