Saudi Pavilion Opens at DEFEA International Defense, Security Exhibition in Athens

Riyadh, May 06, 2025, SPA -- The Saudi pavilion officially opened today at the Athens International Defense and Security Exhibition (DEFEA), marking the Kingdom’s first participation in the event. The pavilion is organized by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), with participation from the General Authority for Defense Development (GADD) and the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI).
   The opening was attended by Governor of GAMI Eng. Ahmad Al-Ohali; Chief of Staff of the Royal Saudi Land Forces Lieutenant General Fahd Al-Juhani; and Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the Hellenic Republic Muhannad Al-Basrawi.
   The GAMI governor and other officials toured the Saudi pavilion and were briefed on the advanced defense and security technologies and systems on display, which highlight the progress of Saudi Arabia's military industries and the growing national capabilities in this vital sector. The pavilion also features several strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing international cooperation and facilitating the transfer and localization of defense technologies.
   Throughout the exhibition, the Saudi pavilion will showcase the Kingdom’s defense industry ecosystem, including policies, regulations, national priorities, and investor incentives. It will also highlight streamlined business processes through the investor’s journey, as well as key achievements, programs, and initiatives led by the Kingdom in the military industries sector. The event also displays the latest advanced defense technologies and systems, reflecting the high level of progress achieved by the national defense industry.
