Riyadh Hosts Meeting to Advance Saudi-Sanremo Humanitarian Law Partnership

   Riyadh, May 09, 2025, SPA -- The national Standing Committee of International Humanitarian Law (SCIHL) convened a joint meeting yesterday in Riyadh with a Sanremo International Institute of Humanitarian Law (IIHL) delegation, following the recent signing of a joint executive program between the two sides.
   The meeting, attended by SCIHL Secretary-General Counselor Abdullah Al-Ruwaili and IIHL President Lt. Gen. (retd) Giorgio Battisti, focused on projects that exemplify the Kingdom's leadership in promoting and disseminating the principles of international humanitarian law worldwide.
   It also discussed the future work plan for activating the joint executive program and the implementation strategies for the outlined projects. The goal is to ensure their impact both domestically and internationally, while also enhancing the effectiveness of institutional cooperation between the two parties.
